We, Waihoikaea and Kenui, hereby state our house lot claim at Puunoa 1 in the land of Kaeo. Here is its diagram:

Our occupancy was from my kupunas and makuas. They lived here formerly on the land. they are dead. My makuakane /father/ sailed to Kahiki /a foreign land/, leaving myself and this makuakane /uncle or elder of father's generation/, M. Kenui. The two of us remain in this house site and we are both claimants in it. A lo'i there I alone claim, and a kula. That is my claim at Puunoa 1. There are some lo'is and a kula makai. Tha ....

House lot from Ua in 1823, Ua and Waihoikaea are joint owners on house lot, no objections. Recently in 1849, Kaeo ehu had objected. Pasture moa in Nakalepo from Ua in 1823, Patches at Kuhohilea from Kaenaena in 1843, no one has objected to these sections.
