To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby state my claim for land in the 'Ili of Kaohewai, Ahupua'a of Hakipuu, District 6, Division 2, Island of Oahu. There are seven lo`i, one kula and one house site. That is my petition on this 30th day of December 1847. The right was from the time of Kamehameha III.

.... fees incurred by the land officers and his name shall appear on the deed. These are the reasons I will convey forever this land section to him. Be it known by all people that I shall assume the responsibility of any oppositions to my interest. In truth and for certification attach my signature on this date as stated above.
