Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I hereby state my claim for land in West Koloa. I have four lo`i, one is flourishing and three are small. The kula is large, perhaps 5 or 6 acres; a portion of enclosed by fence. It is at Hanakaape. I have held this for perhaps forty years, from when I was very small until this time. The name of my land is Paoa. Farewell to you all.

This land came from Pine during the time of Kaahumanu. No one is opposed as of the present. Makakao's present land came from Ino. Ino died in 1848, and Makakao has it now.

Koae, sworn, I have heard the testimony concerning Ino's land and it is true.
