Land Patent No. S-8620 Issued In Confirmation of Land Commission Award
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, did, by its decision, award by Land Commission Award No. 4971 to Kalehua, an estate in Fee Simple in the land hereafter described, and
Whereas, application has been made to the Board of Land and Natural Resources by Fred M. Thronas, claiming to be the present owner of said land for a Patent covering same, and
Whereas, the award was made by survey, the description of which is found on pages 167-168, of Volume 8 of Land Commission awards, on file in the Department of Land and Natural Resources, and
Whereas, there is no government commutation due thereon.
Now, Therefore, the State of Hawaii, in conformity with the laws of the State of Hawaii, by this Patent makes known to all men that it has this day granted and confirmed absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto Kalehua, all the land situate at Anahola in the District of Kawaihau, Island of Kauai, State of Hawaii, b ....

Land situated at Anahola, District of Kawaihau, Koolau, Kaua"i, identified as a portion of Tax Map Key 4-8-05:12 and consisting of 3 roods, 25 rods or 0.90 acres.
Remarks
Land Commission Award No. 4971 to Kalehua was adjudicated on September 6, 1852, free and clear of commutation, as provided under Section 1 of the Act of August 6, 1850.
The survey description for said award is found in Book 8,m pages 167-168 of the Land Commission Awards on microfilm filed with the Division of Land Management, Department of Land and Natural Resources, State of Hawaii.
The request for land patent, in this instance, was ordered by the Fifth Circuit Court under Civil No. 85-0085, as action to quiet title to properties situated at Anahola, Kaua"i.

Authorize the issuance of a land patent as requested.
