Land Patent No. S-8556 Issued in Confirmation of Land Commission Award.
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, did, by their decision, award by Land Commission Award No. 11216, Apana 39 to M. Kekauonohi, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial in the land hereinafter described, and
Whereas, application has been made to the Board of Land and Natural Resources by Hiroshi Matsuyama and yoshino Matsuyama, husband and wife, as tenants by the entirety, claiming to be the present owner of portions of said land for a Patent covering same, and
Whereas, this Award was made by name only and a proper description of survey thereof has been filed with the Department of Land and Natural Resources, and
Whereas, the Government Commutation was released by Resolution of the Privy Council dated August 27, 1850, in Volume 3, Pages 407-421, of the Privy Council Records,
Now, Therefore, the State of Hawaii, in conformity with the laws of the State of Hawaii, by this Patent makes known to all men that it has this day granted and confirmed absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto M. Kekauonohi all of the land situate at Keopu 1st in the District of North Kona, Island of Hawaii, bounded and described as follows:

Beginning at the Northwest corner of this parcel of land, on the Easterly side of Mamalahoa Highway, the coordinates of which referred to Government Survey Triangulation Station "North Meridian" being 6,382.46 feet North and 12, 313.23 feet East, and running by azimuths measured clockwise from True South:

To Have and to Hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple absolute unto the said M. Kekauonohi, and the heirs and assigns of said M. Kekauonohi forever; subject, however to the rights and reservation herein set forth.
In Witness Whereof, the State of Hawaii has caused the Seal of the Department of Land and Natural Resources to be hereunto affixed and this Patent to be duly executed by the Director of Land and Natural Resources the Chairman and Member of the Board of Land and Natural Resources and countersigned by a member of the Board of Land and Natural Resources this 5th day of February A.D. 1970.
