Land Patent No. 8496 Issued In Confirmation of Land Commission Award
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, did, by their decision, award by Land Commission Award No. 11215:2 to Aarona Kealiiahonui, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial in the land hereafter described, and
Whereas, application has been made to the Commissioner of Public Lands by Abraham Lono Ahia, William Frank Ahia, David Stephens Ahia, Henry Herman Ahia, Samuel Papaula Ahia, Charles Alphonse Ahia and Martha Theresa Kalama, claiming to be the present owner [sic] of a portion of said land for a Patent covering same, and
Whereas, this Award was made by name only and a proper description of survey of a portion thereof has been filed with the Commissioner of Public Lands, and
Whereas, the Government Commutation due on that portion of said Award hereinafter described, including interest and statutory fee, amounting to Twenty-four and 59/100 dollars ($24.59) has been paid at the Office of the Commissioner of Public Lands,
Now, Therefore, the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, in conformity with the laws of the United States of America and of the Territory of Hawaii, by this Patent makes known to all men that he has ....
