Land Patent No. 8173 In Confirmation of Land Commission Award
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles did by Land Commission Award No. 8559B Apana 39 award to W.C. Lunalilo, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial in the land hereafter described,
And whereas proper application having been made to the Commissioner of Public Lands by A.S. Wilcox, President of the Princeville Plantation Company, the present owner of the Ahupuaa of Kalihiwai, in the District of Halelea, Island of Kauai, for a Patent of the herein described land, and whereas a certificate of boundaries defining the same having been duly filed, and the Government Commutation thereon has been settled by Resolution of the Privy Council dated August 17th 1850, and by surrender of various lands recorded in Land Commission Awards Volume 10, page 491,
Therefore, the Governor of the Territory of Hawaii, in conformity with the Laws of the
United States of America and of the Territory of Hawaii, by this Patent makes known to all men that he has this day granted and confirmed absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto W.C. Lunalilo, all of the l ....
