Land Patent No. 8172 In Confirmation of Land Commission Award
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles did by Land Commission Award No. 8515 award to Keoni Ana, an estate of Freehold less than Allodial in the land hereafter described,
And whereas Royal Patent 1666 issued October 18th 1854 to Keoni Ana above named grants said land among others by name only, to wit: Kukuau 1, And whereas by a certain judgement of the Commission of Boundaries of the Fourth Judicial Circuit, Territory of Hawaii, dated the 31st day of December, A.D. 1903, it was adjudged and decreed that the boundaries of said land of Kukuau 1st, as set forth in said Royal Patent no. 1666 are as hereinafter set forth, and described, And whereas i Karl [?] Akana Ameiia Richardson, who claims to be the present owner, thereof is desirous that a Land Patent by metes and bounds be issued on said land in addition to and in explanation of the one already issued by name only, giving a proper description of the premises granted by metes and metes and bounds as shown by the Certificate of Boundaries defining said land, which said Certificate of Boundaries is duly filed in the office of the Commissioner of Public Lands of the Territory of Hawaii, and to which reference is hereby made and the Government Commutation on said land having been duly settled by Resolution of the Privy Council dated August 29th 1850,
