Royal Patent No. 8089 Upon Confirmation of Award by Land Commissioners,
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, did, by their decision, award to Keoni Ana Land Commission Award No. 8515, Apana 2 an Estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the Land hereafter described, and whereas
Proper application having been made to the Minister of the Interior by J.O. Carter, Attorney in fact for Mrs. A. Amelia Richardson, the present owner of the Ahupuaa of Kukuau 1 in the District of Hilo, Island of Hawaii, for a Patent of the hereinafter described land a Certificate of Boundaries defining the same having been duly filed and whereas the Government Commutation therein was relinquished by Resolution of the Privy Council adopted June 22nd 1850.
Therefore, Liliuokalani, by the Grace of God, Queen of the Hawaiian Islandsthe Government of the Republic of Hawaii, by this Royal Patent makes known to all men that she it has for herself and for her successors in Office this day granted and confirmed absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto Keoni Ana, all that certain piece of the land situate at Kukuau 1 in the District of Hilo, Island of Hawaii, and described as follows:

To have and to hold the above granted land in Fee Simple unto the said Keoni Ana, his heirs and assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all landed Property held in Fee Simple.
