Royal Patent No. 8049 Upon Confirmation of Award by Land Commissioners,
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, did by their decision, award to Kaleimoku Land Commission Award No. 6239 an Estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described,
Proper application having been made to the Minister of the Interior by Cecil Brown, Attorney for James Campbell and Kapiolani, the present owners of the Ahupuaa of Nuu, in the District of Kaupo, Island of Maui, for a Patent of the herein described land, a Certificate of Boundaries defining the same having been duly filed. And whereas the Government Commutation thereon was relinquished by resolution of the Privy Council adopted March 10th 1857.
Therefore, Liliuokalani, by the Grace of God, Queen of the Hawaiian Islandsthe Government of the Republic of Hawaii, by this Royal Patent makes known to all men that she it has for herself and for her successors in Office ["herself" throug ....

To have and to hold the above granted land in Fee Simple to Kaleimoku, Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all landed Property held in Fee Simple.
