Royal Patent No. 8030 Upon Confirmation of Award by Land Commissioners,
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, did by their decision, award to W.C. Lunalilo Land Commission Award No. 8559B an Estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described,
Proper application having been made to the Minister of the Interior by Cecil Brown, Attorney for James Campbell, the present owner of the Ahupuaa of Kahaualea, in the District of Puna, Island of Hawaii, for a Patent of the herein described land, a Certificate of Boundaries defining the same having been duly filed. And whereas the Government Commutation thereon was relinquished by resolution of the Privy Council.
Therefore, Liliuokalani, by the Grace of God, Queen of the Hawaiian Islandsthe Government of the Republic of Hawaii, by this Royal Patent makes known to all men that she it has for herself and for her successors in Office ["herself" throu ....

Containing an area of 26000 Acres, more or less excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government all mineral or metallic mines of every description.
To have and to hold the above granted land in Fee Simple to W.C. Lunalilo, Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all landed Property held in Fee Simple.
