Royal Patent No. 8018 Upon Confirmation of Award by Land Commission Kuleana Helu 11216, Apana 45.
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, have by their decision awarded unto M. Kekauonohi an Estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described,
Proper application having been made to the Minister of the Interior for a Patent on the within described land, a Certificate of Boundaries defining the same having been duly filed. And whereas the Government Commutation thereon was relinquished by resolution of the Privy Council August 27th 1850.
Therefore, Liliuokalani, by the Grace of God, Queen of the Hawaiian Islandsthe Government of the Republic of Hawaii, by this Royal Patent makes known to all men that she it has for herself and for her successors in Office this day granted and confirmed absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto M. Kekauonohi, all that certain piece of the land situate at Maulua in the District of Hilo, Island of Hawaii, and described as follows:
