Royal Patent No. 4452 Upon Confirmation of Award by Land Commission.
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles, have by their decision awarded unto H. Kalama, Land Commission Award No. 8308, an Estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas
proper application having been made to the Minister of the Interior by F.M. Hatch, attorney for Nannie R. Rice, the present owner of the Ahupuaa of Kaneohe, in the District of Koolaupoko, Island of Oahu for a Royal Patent of the herein described land, a Certificate of Boundaries defining the same having been duly filed, and the Government Commutation thereon was relinquished by resolution of the Privy Council adopted August 29th 1850
Therefore, Liliuokalani, by the Grace of God, Queen of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent makes known to all men that she has for herself and for her successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto H. Kalama, all that certain piece of the land situate at Koolaupoko in the Island of Oahu, and described as follows:

34. Thence South 39° 10' West true 1380 feet along Waikalua Loko, to the bridge over stream on government Road, being the point of beginning;

Containing [left blank] Acres, more or less excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government all mineral or metallic mines of every description.
To Have and to Hold the above granted land in Fee Simple to H. Kalama, Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all landed Property held in Fee Simple.
In Witness whereof, I have hereunder set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, this 11th day of July, A.D. 1892.
