Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Kekuapanio, Land Commission Award No. 130, an Estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the Land hereafter described; and whereas
Proper application having been made this 21st day of April 1891 to the Minister of the Interior by A.B. Loebenstein, Attorney for H. Kinney, the present owner of the Ahupuaa of Malamalamaiki 2nd in the district of Hilo, Island of Hawaii for a Royal Patent of the herein described land, and the Government Commutation amounting [to] Eighty-two [and 20/100] ($82 20/100) Dollars having been paid,
Therefore, Liliuokalani, by the Grace of God, Queen of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that she has for herself and for her successors in Office, this day granted and given absolutely in Fee Simple, unto Kekuapanio all that certain piece of land situate at Hilo in the Island of Hawaii, and described as follows:
Commencing at a large rock marked [M inside triangle], called "Manaonui" standing on the North bank of the Honomu stream above the edge of a deep pool, distant 145 feet from the sea coast at High water mark, a flat ledge of rock, across the stream at the foot of a fishing trail down t ....

North 48° 25" East true 484 feet along Grant #1358A;
North 46° 37" East true 523 feet along Grant #1358A;
North 47° 00" East true 538 feet along Grant #1358A;
North 55° 25" East true 1031 feet along Grant #1358A to sea bluff whence a rock marked [triangle with L in it] at the mouth of the "Laimi" or "Kana" ravine bears South 47° 30" East true, distant 695 feet; thence
North 79° 08" West true 1048 feet around the sea bluff to the Initial point. The boundary being the high water mark along the sea to the mouth of the Honomu Stream.
And containing an area of 328.82 acres
Containing 328.82 Acres more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government all mineral or metallic mines of every description.
To Have and to Hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple unto the said Kekuapanio Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all landed Property held in Fee Simple.
In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, this 25 day of April, 1891.
