Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Lota Kamehameha, Kuleana Helu 7715 Apana 12, an Estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the Land hereafter described; and whereas proper Application having been made to the Minister of the Interior for a Royal Patent on the within described land, a Certificate of boundaries having been duly filed. And whereas the Government Commutation thereon was relinquished by resolution of the Privy Council adopted August 27, A.D. 1850.
Therefore, Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that he has, for himself and for his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely in Fee Simple, unto Lota Kamehameha all that certain piece of land situate at North Kona known as the Ahupuaa of Keauhou 2nd in the Island of Hawaii, and described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Keauhou 1st at a rock marked by crosses and situated in the bank mauka of the shore and South of the Cavern Ananaoikeha, thence the boundary runs along Keauhou 1st to the head of the Holua which is South 82° 3' 8" East (true) 3633 feet from this point and whence the Puu Loa trig. Station is South 52° 6' 40" East (true) 3616 feet by the following boundaries of Keauhou 1st.
