Royal Patent Upon Confirmation by the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Kawai, Kuleana Helu 23, Mahele Award 1860 [00023MA].
An estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas proper application having been made by C.J. Lyons for Keliikanakaole, the present owner, to the Minister of Interior for a Royal Patent on the within described land, a certificate defining the boundary of the same having been duly filed and the Government Commutation amounting to One Hundred Dollars having been paid
Therefore, Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known to all men, that he has, for himself and for his successors ....
