ROYAL PATENT.
Upon Confirmation Of The Land Commission

WHEREAS, The Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto L. Kealoha, Land Commission Award 7587 an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, and in to the land hereinafter described, and whereas the Honorable C.H. Judd has applied to the Minister of the Interior for a Royal Patent for the said Land, and has paid the commutation thereon, viz. Ninety 40/ dollars ($90.40).

Therefore, Lunalilo [insert] Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple unto L. Kealoha all that certain piece of Land situate at Kaneohe in the island of Oahu and described as follows:

.... tree which is North 66° 20' East true 705 feet distant from the Kaneohe plantation chimney run North 73° East true 150 feet to the middle of the stream, thence up the middle of the stream around a peninsula the North point of which is 750 feet due North from the initial point, to a point which is South 60° West true 190 feet from said initial point thence by this last course and distance reversed to initial point.
Area 3 8/10 acres.

Containing Two hundred and seventy five - Acres, more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral or metallic mines of every description.

To Have and to Hold the above granted land in Fee Simple unto the said L. Kealoha his [her?] Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all landed property held in Fee Simple.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, this 21st day of August, 1877.
