Royal Patent Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission.

Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto John Ii (Kuleana Helu 8241 Apana 2) an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas H.F. Judd one of executors of the Will of said John Ii, has filed with the Minister of Interior a certificate defining the boundaries of said Ili of Pawaa as below set forth, and whereas the Privy Council by a Resolution dated 28th August 1850, have authorized the Minister of Interior to grant a Royal Patent for the said land without division or commutation with the Government.

Therefore, Lunalilo Kalakaua, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given absolutely, in Fee Simple, unto John Ii, all that certain piece of land situate at Pawaa in the Island of Oahu and described as follows:

Section 1. "Kanaha" Area 174 9/10 acres.
Beginning at a concrete post at Moopili, at the head of an ancient "Kahuamaika" adjoining Kalawahine and Kaiwiakaihu from which the true bearings of the concrete post at Makiki Trig Station No. 2 is South 7° 21' East.
North 45° 15' East 744 feet to a redwood post along Kalawahine
North 30° 42' East 2182 feet along Kalawahine to post
North 40° 19' East 17.75 feet along Kalawahine to redwood post
North 28° 5' East 12.26 feet along Kalawahine to Nahuina to redwood post, thence
North 25° 55' East 707 feet along Kalawahine along a narrow ridge to a redwood post
South 36° 11 ....

Beginning at the corner of Grant 2616 and grant 2870, the boundary runs:
South 48° East Magnetic South 57° East 89 feet along Grant 2870 to L. McCully
South 6° East magnetic South 15° East 77 feet along Grant 2870 to L. McCully;
South 58° 30' East Magnetic South 67 ½° East 536 feet to Maumea's corner, the marked stone;
South 43° 17' East Magnetic South 52° East 111 feet along award 6716 to Haumea, to a stone;
South 45° 30' West Magnetic South 36 ¼° West 286 feet along Grant 3098 to L. McCully;
North 52° West Magnetic North 61 ½° West 208 feet along Royal Patent 103 to G.P. Judd, along fence;
North 41° 7' West Magnetic North 50 ½° West 636 feet along Royal Patent 103, to G.P. Judd, along fence;
North 63° 12' East Magnetic North 54 ½° East 202 feet along Grant 2616 to place of commencement

The total area of several pieces herein awarded being Two hundred and fifty 8/10 Acres

Containing 250 8/10 Acres, more or less; excepting and reserving to the Hawaiian Government, all mineral or metallic mines of every description.

To have and to hold the above granted land in Fee Simple, unto the said John Ii, his Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to the taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative council, equally upon all landed property held in Fee Simple.

In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian islands to be affixed, this Twenty-first day of April, 1875.
