Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Kanaina no W.C. Lunalilo, Kuleana Helu 277 & 8559B an estate of Freehold less than Allodial, in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas the said W.C. Lunalilo by his Guardians Charles R. Bishop & Charles Kanaina have conveyed to the Hawaiian Government a certain parcel of land as the consideration for the Government commutation in the land hereinafter described as will appear by reference to the said ....

To Have and to Hold the above granted Land in Fee Simple, unto the said Kanaina for W.C. Lunalilo, [his] Heirs and Assigns forever, subject to taxes to be from time to time imposed by the Legislative Council, equally upon all Landed Property held in Fee Simple.
In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand, and caused the Great Seal of the Hawaiian Islands to be affixed, this 5th day of July, 1873.
