Greetings to you, The Land Commissioners: I, Kapapa, hereby state my claim for things which were planted, to be returned to me. Here is my claim for planted things. A hau tree at Kahuaoa in Hilo, - on the return here of Kamehameha on the first Keoua /ship/, that was when I planted it - I do not have it at this time. There is an orange tree at Neaau which I planted in 1831, and at this time I am nearly deprived of it, because someone else thinks of taking it. There are also some coconut trees at the place where one emerges from Panaewa. There are some coffee trees at Keaau, and some trees at Piihonua, and some trees at ....
