ROYAL PATENT UPON CONFIRMATION OF THE LAND COMMISSION
Whereas the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Charles Kekuapanio, Claim No. 130, [an] estate of Freehold less than Allodial in and to the land hereafter described and whereas on the 27th of July and 4th of December 1849 the said C. Kekuapanio transferred to Joseph Booth all of his right, title and interest in said land, and whereas the said Joseph Booth has commuted the title as awarded for a fee Simple title by the payment of One Hundred and Fifty Dollars into the Royal Exchequer.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this royal patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given Absolutely in Fee Simple unto Joseph Booth, a Subject of Great Britain, all that certain piece of land situate at Hotel Street, Honolulu, in the Island of Oahu, and described by surveyed boundaries as follows:
Commencing at North corner of Kalawaia's lot on Hotel Street, and running
South 42 1/2° West 58 1/2 feet along K ....
