Royal Patent upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Joseph Booth (Claim No. 272) an estate for life in and to the land hereafter described to go to his Hawaiian born children and their heirs, they being Hawaiian subjects forever.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this royal patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given unto the said Joseph Booth, all that certain piece of land situated at Honolulu, in the Island of Oahu, and described by surveyed boundaries as follows:
Commencing at North & West corner, joining on Nuuanu Street and a lot owned by William Harbottle (occupied by McDuff & Froole[?]) and running
South 36° 30' East 66 8/12 feet along wall (and including it) between this land and Harbottles to South corner of Harbottle's lot. Thence
North 60° 15' East 50 2/12 feet along East boundary of Harbottle's lot (including wall) and 5 3/12 feet beyond to the bakehouse lot. Thence
South 44° East 83 2/12 feet along wall (including it ....
