Royal Patent upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Z. Kaauwai (Claim No. 8564) an estate in Fee Simple in & to the land hereafter described. And whereas the said Kaauwai has sold & transferred all his Interest, right and title in & to the said land to James Austin.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given Absolutely in Fee Simple unto the said James Austin, all that certain piece of land situated at Kalualoa, Kapalama, in the Island of Oahu, and described by surveyed boundaries as follows:
Commencing at a stake, thence North 70 1/2° East 167 feet; thence
North 80° East 255 feet with an offset on the left of six feet, bound ....
