Royal Patent upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas the Board of Commissioners to Quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto Joseph Booth (Claim No. 81) an estate in Fee Simple in & to the land hereafter described.
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands, by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given Absolutely in Fee Simple unto the said Joseph Booth, all that certain piece of land situated at Kaumakapili, Honolulu, in the Island of Oahu, and described by surveyed boundaries as follows:
Commencing at West corner of this lot on Smith's lane, joining the French Mission premises, on makai side of this, & running
South 42° 15' East 1 Chain 64 11/12 feet along French Mission place to John Hobb's lot ....
