Upon Confirmation of the Land Commission
Whereas, the Board of Commissioners to quiet Land Titles have by their decision awarded unto James Mahony for Nake (Claim 3121), an estate of Freehold less than Allodial in and to the land hereafter described, and whereas the said Nake has granted unto the said James Mahony all her right & title to the said land, and whereas the said James Mahony has commuted the title as awarded; to a fee simple by the payment of Fifty-five Dollars into the Royal Exchequer,
Therefore, Kamehameha, by the Grace of God, King of the Hawaiian Islands by this Royal Patent, makes known unto all men, that he has, for himself and his successors in office, this day granted and given Absolutely in Fee Simple, unto James Mahony all that certain piece of land situate at Pau & Opaapaa, in Kaneohe, in the Island of Oahu, and described by surveyed boundaries, as follows:

Commencing at Stake by a Small Stream, and running
North 19° East 170 links along down Stream, then
South 86 1/4° West 1 chain 38 feet along Keahala to ridge, then
South 81 1/2° West 3 chains along a little ridge, then
South 85° West 4.80 chain[s] along Keahala, then
South 67° 30' West 4 chains 15 feet to a Stake, then
North 23° 30' West 2 chains 1 ....
