To the Land Commissioners, greetings: I hereby state my claim for land at East Koloa, consisting of 10 lo`i and a kula, as follows:

The Konohiki, Asa Opunui, gave me eight lo`i and I have held them for three or perhaps four years. The ninth and tenth lo`is were given by Hukiku to my makuahine, and she gave them to me. From the time those lo`is were given to my makua until this time is seven years. At Mahaulepu are 5 lo`i and a kula, in the `ili named Kioea. This land was from Kaikioewa, 20 years ago, until the present.
Furthermore there are two mala of noni at a place named Keonehele, at Paa. These mala of noni were bequeathed to my wahine from her makua, long ago. There is also a mala of wa ....

No. 2 - This land came from Kaikioewa and to his father and when he died from Hukiku to me.
No. 3 - 2 salt pans named Wailoa. Hukiku gave them to his father and when his father died these salt pans were returned to the Konohiki. A little later the Konohiki named Mika gave the salt pans back to him and he lived there for 9 years in peace until 1849. Then Kapuniai took those salt pans.
Section 4 - The house lot in Mahaulepu. The witness stated that it is greatly contested and so Nahinu has thrown it out.
