I, Paele, on the Island of Molokai, Ahupua`a of Moakea, hereby petition for my `ili in this Ahupua`a. Its name is Kanukuloku and it is 7 chains long, lying very narrow, makai to mauka. This `ili also has a kula. (See the diagram in the original claim). The konohikis have been Kaunakakai, Kanakanui and Kahuliaikaua. The witnesses are Luhio, Elemakule, Kaka and all the tenants on this land.

Mauka and Halawa by konohiki's land
Makai by sea
Kaluaaha by Kaka's land.
Land received at the time of Kamehameha I. No objections to the present.
Hanunu, sworn, I have known in the same way. Agreement by both parties.
Section 1 is correct. 10 acres of pasture land shall be for the konohiki. The remaining land is for Paele.
