To the Land Commissioners: I will explain the claim for my place of residence, how I obtained my right and pertinent matters. Here is a diagram of this place.North side, 16 fathoms, 5 feet; East side, 15 fathoms; South side, 21 fathoms; West side, 17 fathoms. That is the size of this place.

When Kuakini was Governor of Oahu and Kamehameha III was King, I was living with the King and because I had no place to reside, I asked the Ali`i for this place, and he gave it to me and I lived on it.

.... eapule, sworn by the Bible and stated, I have seen Uilama's house lot, by the stream in Honolulu here. A road is the boundary makai; Kapahoanui is on the east; Honaunau's property on the south, but I have not known the distance on the sides. I had seen Uilama living there during Kuakini's time. Uilama has a house there and he did have a fence which has fallen at the present time. He has lived there to this time. I have not known anyone has ever objected to him because the king had given him (this land).
