N.R. 6v7

Greetings to the Land Commissioners: I have an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Moakea, Island of Molokai /named/ Kawailoa. Its length is 9 chains and its width is 3 chains and it is enclosed by palis on each side. The name of the makai `ili is Kapauhia, and one on the mauka side is named Kaihuoki. The right to this land was inherited form ancient times. The first konohiki was Kolii, and when he was removed, it was Puaaloa, then Kaimaio, then Kaunakakai. I have occupied it for 30 or more years. That is my petition for my place. it is finished.
Farewell to you all.
HAKAWEA
