Claimant, being sworn, deposed that he presented this claim to the Land Commissioners, when their office was in Hale Kauwila. The claim is for a piece of land in Palolo Valley, Oahu, for the Heirs of the late Peter Anderson.
Claimant now presents and files with the Board, a deed from M. Kekuanaoa to Peter Anderson for the land in question, dated the 30th of March 1840, approved by the King and Premier on the 7th April 1840, as evidence of the claim.
[footnote: Note: claimant, not consenting to leave with the Commission any documents without written receipt at the time of presenting his claim & the President refusing to deviate from the contrary custom of the Board, claimant took his papers away.]

.... land section. Commencing at the corner close to the stream, thence running due north to a corner, ninety-nine fathoms, a right angle; thence running to the northwest to another corner, one hundred and four fathoms, a right angle; thence running to the south to another corner, ninety-nine fathoms, a right angle; thence running to the east to the point of beginning, one hundred and four fathoms.
Said land shall be for Pika and his heirs born in Hawaii, forever.
Furthermore it is hereby covenanted that this land shall not be taxed in excess of the taxes levied on all similar lands. And Pika, for himself and his heirs, hereby covenants that he shall not convey said land to any foreigner, nor to any one else except to native-born Hawaiian subject of the rulers of Hawaii.
Done at Honolulu on this 30th day of March, A.D. 1840."
