To the Honorable Commissioners for quieting land titles, Gentlemen:
I present for your examination & adjudication my claims to a certain house lot in Lahaina at a place called Kamakaluukalo. Said lot is 18 fathoms long and 12 wide and was obtained from his Majesty the King about the year 1840. My title being admitted I desire that it be confirmed to my children, and their heirs, Hawaiian subjects, for their benefit.

Kapu, sworn, and he testified, The king gave him that houselot which is makai of the government road and northwest of Puamana. The king had sent me and it was the chief who authorized him to live there with the privacy of that place and no one has objected to him. It was granted to him one year before the death of Hoapili. Greetings to you, Richards: I have received your writing in regards to John Dawson's property. I am going to tell you about that property. I had given him that property which is at Puamaena at the time he was doing some work there for me. Kapu had applied for it for me to Hoapili. That is it.
