Greetings to the Land Commissioners of Hawaii: I, Ku, on the Island of Molokai, in the Ahupua'a of Ualapue by have an 'ili in this Ahupua'a.
I received the land as follows: Kekauonohi is the ali'i and Kukonalaa is the konohiki, and he gave this 'ili to me, which I have properly cultivated.
For your information, O Commissioners, I tell you of the size of my 'ili. /Not given/.
I also have a kula in my 'ili which is 82 fathoms by 30 fathoms, and is named Naniuelua.
Hilo is the one who has the land to eastward, and Paele is the one who has the 'ili which is down wind.
Furthermore I also have a claim for a house lot which is 17 fathoms by 12 fathoms, which I have had as long as I have had the 'ili described above. It is finished. Aloha to you all,
