I, the one whose name is below, hereby state to you, the Commissioners to quiet land titles, my house lot claim at Kaluaaha on the Island of Molokai, being that which is shown on the diagram below. The lie of the various sides is indicated:

South side lying to the northwest, 53 fathoms
West side lying to the north, 43 fathoms
North side lying to the southeast, 53 fathoms
East side lying to the southwest, 43 fathoms.

South side lying to the northwest, 11 2/3 fathoms
West side lying to the north, 30 fathoms
North & east curved, 40 fathoms.

Makapo, sworn, I have seen his land section in Mapulehu.
[It is bounded]:
Mauka and Halawa by konohiki
Makai by Government road
Kamalo by konohiki's land.
Land received in 1847 and he has lived here peacefully to the present. It had been a prisoners' area at one time and it was Ilae the tax assessor who had done work here, now the konohiki has charge here.
J. Kanae, sworn, I am the assistant konohiki of the land and Kaluna's claim is correct. I am giving him the mauka section. It was agreed that the makai section of the road be turned over to the konohiki.
