I, the one whose name is below, hereby state to you, the Commissioners to quiet land title of the Hawaiian Islands, that I have an `ili in the Ahupua`a of Ualapue by Island of Molokai, which is 40 fathoms long by 15 fathoms wide.
The kula is 45 fathoms long by 31 fathoms wide. The name of my `ili is Mapuna, and Manu, who was the konohiki, was the one from whom I got this `ili. It is bounded by Kunohu, for Pala, on the west, and by Kaukeanu, for Hulihee, on the east.
I also have a claim for a lot, which is 40 fathoms by 20 fathoms. That is my claim, which is stated to you, ....
