Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners: I have a claim for a lot in the `ili of Loi wai in the Ahupua`a of Puaahala. It is 61 in length and 45 in width. The konohiki of this land is Kaaiawaawa and he gave it to me in 1841.
This was unused kula and I took it and surrounded it with a fence and have cultivated it until this very time.
The witnesses are Manoha, Awili and Makalehua, who are of Puaahala. I request you to award this land to me.
