This is a letter describing Kawelo's land claim: I got this land in the year 1835 from Kukonalaa, who was the konohiki of the land. Kukonalaa died in 1841 and the land was bequeathed to Keopuhiwa, his kaikamahine. In three years /she was/ dispossessed and the land went to Kamakini, the landlord at this time. It has been 12 years since I got this mo`o and there is also a kula land. Here is the diagram which shows the mo`os which adjoins mine.
