Hear ye, ye Land Commissioners:Here again is my message to you about some planted things I have at Kaiwiki - coffee, a mala of bamboo, also a water course. I have planted 3 house sites with coffee - they are mauka of Kaiwiki, close to the upland forest, also the water course and the mala of bamboo. The bamboo and coffee were planted by myself; I hired workers to make the water course with my own property - 1 fathom-long hog and 4 kaau* of feathers. This land was without water, it was not made to flow on this land in ancient times. There are some people living now whom I hired to dig the water course and they are my witnesses. Because of my coming to live here at Piihonua, therefore I am explaining about these things which I planted in another place.
Here again is my message to you: at Kaiwiki 2, I have some kihapai ....

Opu is an old resident of the land since Kamehameha I. It has been objected by the konohiki and heard before the tax assessor, land has been returned, (to Opu).
Paulo, sworn, He has seen this land as Nakaupu (has seen it), however, Paulo's own hands have planted also. Paulo is Opu's heir after his (Opu) death.
