To the Land Commissioners, greetings: I hereby explain about my house lot at Waioli at Manuakepa on the east side of the muliwai of Waioli. I believe I have a claim to this place, because I have held this place from the year 1834, nor has anyone denied or opposed me.
However, it is for you, the Commissioners whom the Mo`i has appointed, to consider and act upon this.

The house lot is bounded: as follows: on the north, along the sea, 2 fathoms, on the south, adjoining Kalema, 20 fathoms, on the east, along the house of the chief, 30 fathoms, on the west, along Kapauoa, ....

Opio has lived here since Kanehoa had been Konohiki.

The new Konohiki Kamokihiwa had objected to the fish pond in 1848.

Kapela, sworn, he has known the claimant's land in the same way as Koukou has related here. There was objections for the fish pond by the new Konohiki, Kamokuhiwa. Opio has turned the fish pond over to the Konohiki.
