Keaupuni., sworn, says, I saw the claim written by Koaehulukea the school inspector of Palikoolau.
Kalaweaniani, sworn, says, I know the land of Puahiki. It is in Kailua in the ili of Kaohea and consists of 3 taro patches in one division and 3 taro patches in another and 4 in another and 2 in another. In all 12 taro patches in four divisions.

.... hinalua, sworn, I had seen Kaulu the sister of *Puahiki as I was signing the bill of sale to the konohiki. She had come with a request to live under the konohiki and I had also seen the hand of Kaulu on the hand of Kaele while the name of Puahiki as being written.
Nahinu, sworn, I am a true son of Puahiki, my father did not return land for the konohiki, nor did he say he would do this. When Puahiki had died the bequest was for Kimo with Kaulu under him. I have not heard Kaulu say about returning Puahiki's claim to the konohiki and we have always lived continuously on this moo land of Puahiki to the present time.
DECISION: It was not proper for Kaulu to write Puahiki's name; it was not right for her to restore Puahiki's claim to the konohiki, therefore, that restoration is voided and the officers who settle land titles shall enforce Puahiki's rights.
