.... nt in his testimony this day given. The King gave claimant this land about 8 years ago, and he occupied the same in peace up to the time of his death in April last. I never heard this title disputed and the land since his death has been held by his son and only child, Stephen Read. I cannot give the exact time when the land was given to Mr. Read.
