The Land Commissioners, greetings: I, Kamalie, a Hawaiian subject living at Koloa, island of Kauai hereby state my claim for kula and lo`i. Here is the diagram of the kula and a lo`i. The road which goes to Maunakilika as far as the bridge is the north and northwest boundary. The stream is the boundary on the east. The land of Keo is the southern boundary. Here is also shown in the diagram the nature of the kula parcel. Beginning, as far as the bridge, 19 chains, 1 fathoms or more. ....
