The claimant obtained this land as heir of Pika. Pika took up the spot as waste land in 1837, and built a house on it. Dispute between Pika and James Louzada /Lutera/

Keliiolelo, sworn, I know that place was for Pika and I and my son-in-law, James Louzada, hired /the workmen/ to fence the lot and at that time no one opposed us. At the time my son-in-law and I measured, We measured the entire lot. We never heard that anyone objected at that time, that is what I know.

Because of this dispute, the Land Commissioners made the following decision: "Let this claim of Pika, for which Naehu petitions for them, be sold."And Luukia, the widow of Pika, agreed to sell that place for $17.50. James Louzada was to give this said sum. That was the decision by the Land Commissioners.
