Iona Kapena, sworn, I wrote his claim for the ili of Kaliu in Honolulu here. It consists of taro patches only. I gave him the document and he took it to the land officers at Halekauwila in the month of October or November, perhaps, of the year 1847.

.... s the time he died. This place was then bequested to Hana. He (father) had received it from Pehu in 1832. Hana has always had this place since her parents to the present time. No objections in the least to Hana's living here.
