To the Honorable board of Land Commissioners, &c.,
In conformity with the laws of this Kingdom, I now, as authorized agent and Representative of the American Seaman Friends Society of United States enter my claims for two lots of land in Honolulu and designated as follows:
No. 1. Lot upon which the Seamans Chapel stands in main Street and bounded in front side by street; back and east side by native lands, and on West by land of S. Reynolds & natives. I have been told this piece of land was given for the purpose to which it is now appropriated by the King.. ....

2. House lot: The boundaries are exactly as it has been noted in the claim document. It has been enclosed. The boundaries are:
Mauka, Kahuna Street
Waikiki, William Ladd's lot
Makai, moo lot
Ewa, French kahuna's lot.
Deil had received this lot from Kauikeaouli in 1833 and he had lived comfortably till the place was acquired by this person here, and to this time no one has objected.
