`Ili of Pilipili Three. Greetings to the Land Commissioners:
I hereby state to you, the Commissioners, my claim for land, an independent `Ili. My land is Pilipili 3. On the south of my land is a stream, on the west is the `Ili of Mokahelahela, on the north is the land of Kuaiwa, and on the east is the land of Pilipili 2. Those are the boundaries of my claim which are stated to you. The name of the one from whom I received my land is Ioela. The year /in which I received it/ is obscure -- I do not understand the counting of the years.
