To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I hereby state my claim for land at Laukihaa, Paalaa uka. There are three lo`i and also a muliwai which I got from my makuas, who lived at this place from the time of Kamehameha I and who bequeathed it to me on their deaths. I have continued to live here until this time. These lo`is are surrounded on all sides by kula which is also mine. .... here is a dispute between Kealohua and Kalawaia has been reviewed and they (Kealohua and Kalawaia) have decided as follows. A resurveying will be done beginning from the comer of Kealohua's small patch which is mauka of this land, running directly toward the sea and adjoining Kalawaia's house by the Pandanus tree outside of the property fence. The old survey was not accurate. Their suggestion has been approved, therefore there will be no further argument.
