To the Land Commissioners: I, Kihewa, am a native-born old-timer of Paalaa. I claim a right of occupancy from the time of Kahekili which was held by my makuas until the time of Kamehameha I. When my makuas died the land was bequeathed to me. Further, I have a mo'o, with five lo'i, bounded on the north by the muliwai, on the east by a lo'i for Keawemuku, on the south by my kula and my house lot, o ....

Koolaupoko, muliwai of Laukihaa.
It was from her parents, and from the time of Kahekili it was held until 1846, when it was transferred to Keaweluaole by Holualoa, who was the Haku`aina. This mo`o was taken and transferred to Nu and his claim was entered from Keliihuluhulu. This was No. 2751 dated 22 January 1850.
Ilimakou, sworn, my knowledge of it is the same as that witness's.
