To the Land Commissioners, Respectful Greetings: I, Makole, hereby state my claim for land at Kahuku. The name of the mo`o is Ahamau. There are four lo`i, bounded on the north by lo`i ko`ele, on the east, by Mauoli's /land/, on the south by lo`i ko`ele, on the west by Pahanui's /land/. I also have a watercourse adjoining the konohiki's ....

Kauluhao says he heard that one of the above patches had been rented to claimant by the Luna, as it was a Koele. (Claimant acknowledged that he never got permission from the Luna to take this patches, because he would not consent to pay rent.)
The Konohiki consented to all the claim except the loi koele.
