Respectfully to the Land Commissioners, Hear ye: We hereby state our claim for house lot at Ilikahi in Lahaina. Our right to this place is that our place at Pelekane was taken by Kanaina, and he gave us this place instead, therefore we have a right at this place and we wish to enter it in the Award Book, since it was given to us by Kanaina. Farewell to you all. We are, with aloha.

.... the land which is in Ilikahi ahupuaa. It was given by Kanaina at the time the house at Keaweiki had been conveyed to Kauka in 1842, no one has objected to this place. Both Mahele and Kaino died in 1847, Paahao is the son of Kaino and he shall have custody of this lot under Kalolo.
The boundaries are:
Mauka by C. Kanaina's Friday land
Olowalu by Kahula
Makai by Paaoao's land, probably Kanaina
Kaanapali by Keaweluaole and Kalena's land.
