To the Land Commissioners, Greetings: I, Maio, am a claimant for land at Kapaamuku, Kawailoa, Waialua, which was from Kahalau. There are eight lo`i, two sections of watercourse, bounded on the north by Kahalau's /land/, on the east by Pilipi's /land/ and Wehelau's, and Kaukaliu's, and Kahuna's, and Kahui's, and Kulika's /lands/. On the west, by Kealainanea's, Lonokaeho's, Pilipi's, Nanea's /lands/. The house lot is bounded on the north by the road and the muliwai, on the east by Kekauwa's /land/, on the south by a land, on the west by Kahalau's /land/. I have tended this land for 25 years.

Apana 1. Hiwa is the mo`o, 7 lo`i, joined with the pali.
Mauka, mo`o of Ihukoko, for Palea
Waianae, Anahulu Stream
Makai, the konohiki's lo`i, Kahaleloa
Koolaupoko, pali.

2. Communal lot. It is at Ukoa in the sweet potato lot.

3. House lot. It is at Ukoa and is combined with Kealohaio ma's place.

Koolaupoko, Olopana's house lot.

Her land was received from her former husband in the time of Kaahumanu I. The house lot was from the second husband, named Puali. No one has disputed her.

Olopana, sworn, His knowledge of it the same as Kahakai's.
